Often in education, there’s an unspoken drive to prompt, prompt, prompt students. Educators and para-educators with the best intentions of helping are often over-prompting learners and creating prompt dependency. Join this discussion on prompt hierarchies, prompt fading, and the role of modeling in learning new skills. The focus of this presentation is primarily how prompting relates to communication/AAC.
