Video Modeling in the Special Education Classroom

October 21, 2016 @ 10:20 am – 11:20 am

Kellison Kohler,  Special Education Teacher, Jackson County ISD & Meegan Winters, Teacher Consultant, Jackson County ISD

In this session we’ll look at how you can use today’s technology (e.g., iPad, GoPro) to create high-quality videos for the purpose of video modeling in your special education classroom. Video modeling is beneficial for a variety of learners, especially individuals on the autism spectrum. We’ll also discuss the benefits of video modeling, how to share or access the videos you’ve created, and how our program has integrated video modeling across our campus. Our hope is that everyone who attends our session walks out feeling confident that they can film quality videos that can be used in their classroom.
