Kit Hard, Instructional Technology and Professional Development Supervisor, Port Huron Area School District
Screencasting is a fantastic way to apply the principals of Universal Design for Learning by creating multiple means of representation, expression, and engagement.
In this this session we will explore some simple, free screencasting tools for PC, Chromebook, and iPads that allow teachers to create audio visual learning supports as well as ways for students to use these same tools to “show what they know”. Whether you’re trying to scaffold instruction, create more accessible learning materials, or provide flexible and engaging ways for students to express their learning, screencasting is for you.
This is intended to be a hands-on session. Participants are strongly encouraged to bring an internet connected device and a compatible microphone headset if possible.
