Kindy works as the Assistive Technology Coordinator for Kent Intermediate School District, Grand Rapids, MI. She is also an adjunct Professor at Grand Valley State University, and works on the Michigan CEC TAM committee.
She has been a registered occupational therapist with over 25 years of experience in pediatric therapy, school-based OT and special education, assistive technology implementation, training and assisting educators with classroom-based technology integration.
She is a lifelong learner, always looking for new tools, strategies, activities and ideas to engage other learners!

Ron Houtman, Ed.S. – Educational Technology Consultant – Director REMC 8
For the past 16 years, Ron has worked at the Kent Intermediate School District and Kent Career Technical Center both teaching in the classroom and supporting educator professional development.
He has many years experience in helping others understand and use technology to enhance their teaching and learning, and increase classroom engagement.
In addition, Ron provides educational technology support and consulting services to all of the local educational entities within the service area of the Kent ISD.
Ron also is an adjunct professor in the teacher education programs at Aquinas College, where he teaches both pre-service and graduate students.
Further, Ron is a board member of the Michigan Association for Computer Users in learning (MACUL), President of the REMC Association, a Director of REMC 8 and a Regional Instructional Technology Specialist (RITS). He also served as the Michigan representative and board member of the National Association of Media and Technical Centers (NAMTC)
